This lily is an elegant asymmetrical flower, reminiscent of a ballet dancer's graceful movement. I was invited to paint at Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach, California for their 4th Annual Day of Art on February 27, 2016. I think this lily would look great on an Easter card, don't you?
An artist since childhood, I have been fascinated by color, faces and natural forms. Taking every class in art I could find, I enjoyed oil painting in particular, and portraiture became my passion. Painting from life, or photographs if necessary, I love to bring out the personality of a someone "from heart to art." Painting outdoors in nature is exhilarating, a real joy and renewal of the soul.
