California coastal cliffs are so beautiful, they just beg to be painted! This painting started out on site (en plein air), and was finished in the studio. I love the oranges and the reds complementing the blue of the ocean.
About Alice Leggett
An artist since childhood, I have been fascinated by color, faces and natural forms. Taking every class in art I could find, I enjoyed oil painting in particular, and portraiture became my passion. Painting from life, or photographs if necessary, I love to bring out the personality of a someone "from heart to art." Painting outdoors in nature is exhilarating, a real joy and renewal of the soul.
