Alice Leggett An artist since childhood, I have been fascinated by color, faces and natural forms. Taking every class in art I could find, I enjoyed oil painting in particular, and portraiture became my passion. Painting from life, or photographs if necessary, I love to bring out the personality and spirit of a person "from heart to art."
Painting outdoors in nature is exhilarating, a real joy and renewal of the soul. Painting the still life in the quiet solitude of my studio allows me to contemplate carefully the play of light across form, and subtle color relationships.
